Wildlife in Northeast Region: Manas National Park

Manas National Park belongs to the foothills of Himalayas in Assam northeast range. Manas consist of many species of mammal and are famous for one horned rhino and water buffalo. This park offers comfortable vibes and freedom to a good number of species.

This tiger reserve is dedicated to protect 36 reptilian species, 3 amphibian species, over 80 tigers in number, 400 species of birds including great pied hornbill, wreathed hornbill, waterfowls and unique species of lizards and snakes along with the Assam Roofed Turtle.

Jeep Safari to the Core

The Manas National Park has a commendable caliber for protecting tigers. The core area is constituted with 500 square kilometers having a good range of wildlife and several important species can be seen easily here via Jeep safari.
