History

Located in Assam and widen in 430 sq/km. Kaziranga National Park is one of the best national parks and recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a paradise for those who are passionate about wildlife and the environment. Kaziranga was formed as a forest reserve in 1905.

When to Visit

The climate condition here is bit odd sometimes. I recommend not visiting this place at rainy season. While in summer, day time is bit uncomfortable for exploring the place as temperature goes up to 37 degree Celsius and night has enchanting weather. Nothing beats the time of November to February in which temperature is around 5 degree to 25 degree Celsius. This is the only time when the possibility to eye maximum all sorts of birds.

What to Explore

Generally tourists visit here to eye one horned rhino but the reserve is home to varied wildlife and animals like Chital, Sambars, Barking Deer, Sloth Bear, Indian Bison, Wild Boar, Leopard and more. The safari here will also bring you face to face varied species of birds and a huge number of summer and winter wandering birds.
